My guess is the very small damage on the boots came from being incorrectly kept in the box without paper and left to shift around.

I will be bubble wrapping each boot and putting shoe paper in to ensure it is secure inside the shoe box. I will also be shipping the shoe box securely/bubble wrapped so no further damage will come to it.
