- Title: Photo Collection "Impending Crisis"
- Author: Kikujiro Fukushima

Kikujiro Fukushima is a freelance photographer also known for his photo collection "Pikadon," which compiled interviews with a family affected by the atomic bomb. He did not belong to any specific political party or ideological group, and was a person who continued to take photos by going to the front lines alone. Mr. Makoto Oda contributed to this photo collection, describing Fukushima's solitary style as a "man without official endorsement," meaning he had no backing from authority or society.

This book was published without permission after Fukushima gained access to a weapons factory with strict entry restrictions by deceiving the Defense Agency and the Self-Defense Forces. Naturally, he was targeted by the state authorities, and his life, as the title of the photo collection suggests, was always in an "Impending Crisis," including incidents where his face was slashed and his home was burned down. The subtitle "Collection of Last Works" reflects his determination, although he actually left behind many more photo collections after this one.

The book conveys the reality of Japan's post-war arms industry and the state of the Self-Defense Forces' power, including figures from his research, and some of the content is shocking. However, it is a book that we would like people of all generations to read.
