Vintage 1950s Women's Red Wool Long Coat ILGWU Heavy Warm Lined Buttons Small

I couldn't pass up this amazing vintage 1950s women's heavy cherry red wool long coat despite its flaws. No brand tag but there is an ILGWU tag. No size tag but based on measurements this piece is a Small: 16" shoulder to shoulder laid flat, 18" armpit to armpit laid flat, 17" waist laid flat, 50" top of shoulder to bottom hem.

Made in the USA. They don't make clothing like this any more! The wool is thick and super warm. Lined. Double-breasted with exaggerated collar. Buttons down front and at cuff. Two front panel pockets that are large and deep. THERE IS SOME MOTH DAMAGE throughout -- little bites with no big holes. Wool is so thick that the holes are often partial and don't penetrate the fabric completely. Coat does not *look* hole-ridden. Look at images carefully to get an idea of the moth damage. This coat appears to have never been worn and could last another hundred years.
